Kevin Rose & Jay Adelson On New & Future Digg Features at the Web 2.0 Expo NYC

by neal on November 18, 2009

I filmed Kevin Rose and Jay Adelson discussing new and concept features on which the company is working. They included some tips on how start-ups can execute a solid web marketing campaign speaking before the Web 2.0 Expo audience which comprised many entrepreneurs. Among Rose’s recommendations, he repeated the act of seeding junior writers at major blogs. And the heavily retweeted “Hack the press… Don’t try to approach Arrington; he’s a dick,” Rose joked.

@Alan that trend engine looks like it’s just what the doctor ordered. breaking stories wont get stuck in the cue while every other platform publishes it first. i saw a good story get promoted in about 40 minutes today. thank you for viewing, Alan.

Very interesting thoughts on location specific content. I never considered that Digg could incorporate location based services. I also love Digg’s approach to ads. Thanks for posting, and I’m looking forward to future posts.

@Jason Digg local is a conceptual upgrade, I believe. I am thinking they would be able to monetize harder targeting specific communities. Thank you, Jason, for viewing, I will have more Web 2.0 Expo footage by next week. You’ll find the rest of the videos on the Web 2.0 Expo category.
